Fever.
About once every year or so, I get sick. We're talking lay in bed with a fever, can't eat, don't shower, am a danger to society (i.e. contagious) kind of sick. Well, this week has been that time of year. Strep throat, haven't had that since I was 6. I have watched countless hours of Full House, NCIS, Gilmore Girls & House (I like random tv). Tomorrow, I get to join the real world again & for that, I am grateful. Now, I'm just wishing I had skipped the chocolate pudding so the caffienne, which I am addicted to when not sick, would not be keeping me awake.

Some Days
God's love is revolutionary. Revolutionary is to be marked by or resulting in a radical change. So many time in life we want to have that love, but we don't want it to be revolutionary. We want to hide our marks. Common thinking says people hide their bad marks, but how many of us try to hide the marks God has made on our lives? I do. It's easier, with more instant wordly gratification to hide His marks on our lives. Yes, some of His marks require more of us than we'd like to give, but then think about the marks that sin & the world have placed on you that have been covered by His marks of healing & joy. I was on the receiving end of encouragement & understanding this morning that I have been in need of for a year. Someone who was farther ahead of me on the exact path I've been walking. It was another of God's marks on my life.
How many of these marks from God do you have? Do you wish you had?
Do you need to hear that God loves you, because He does, more than you can ever comprehend. Think of something that gives you immense pleasure, He created that with you in mind.
Do you question if you measure up? You do in His eyes, the eyes that looked upon the newly created universe & said it is good. The eyes that look down on you & say I approve, I sustain & I love.
Do you wonder why you are here? To bring Him glory. He takes glory in your pleasure & happiness.
Do you wonder if anyone understands & can relate? I do & God put someone in my path this morning who knew exactly what I needed to hear from Him.
Do you feel that with a past like yours He could never love you & you'll never be good enough to be a ...christian? Jesus was a friend of sinners, of thieves, tax collectors & people who were outcasts. His closest friends were dock workers. Don't worry about being a...christian, just be a follower of Christ & someone with a passion for God.
